Ikegami Takkun

Born in Kobe in 1992, Ikegami began dancing in high school. While a student at Osaka University of Health and Sport Sciences, he received prizes at national competitions for the work he choreographed. He also since presented his dance works in Korea and London. In 2016, he served as assistant choreographer for Dance Project Revo, which is led by Tamura Koichiro and is based in Kyoto. He graduated from the fifth class of the Study Dance Abroad At Home @ Kobe program sponsored by the Agency for Cultural Affairs and the NPO Dance Box.

Kobayashi Nana

Born in 1992, Kobayashi has studied classic ballet since the age of four but shifted to contemporary dance in high school. A graduate of J. F. Oberlin University, she performed Crashed Airplane as an independent performance at Kagurazaka Session House in 2016 and Mouse Laboratory in the newcomer series at I Want to Watch Dance that year. In Electronic Cocktail, the unit she has formed with Electone performer Kusada Shiori, she is in charge of choreography and physical expression. She often performs with Yousei Daizukan and participated in Potential Beasts 2017. Her wide-ranging activities also include performing as a live back dancer and in video works.

Saito Chisato

Saito began studying modern ballet at the age of three and studying dance with Kato Miyako and Suzuki Yohei while at university. A member of BULLET, a dance project directed by Suzuki Yohei, she also takes part in work by Toda Makoto, Kasai Mitsutake, and Mito Ruru, among others. She was a finalist in Yokohama Dance Collection EX 2014 Competition II.

Takamiya Kozue

Takamiya has studied with Kato Miyako from early childhood and is an associate member of the Kato Miyako Dance Space. Has participated in Seki Kaori’s Punctumun since 2016. She has taken part in works by a variety of choreographers, apart from her work with those companies, and is carrying out her own creative activities, including presenting collaborative works with a percussionist in the percussionist project called inc. She is a graduate of the Nihon University College of Art.

Nagaoka Erena

Born in 1996, Nagaoka began studying classic ballet at the age of six, with Nishi Komako her teacher since she was nine. She began studying contemporary dance with Matsuyama Yoshihiro at eighteen. She is currently in her four as a dance major at Japan Women’s College of Physical Education. As a member of its dance production study group, she has appeared in the work of many choreographs, including Kawamura Mikiko, Ito Kimu, and Imazu Masaharu. She is currently working on creating her own works as a choreographer.

Nagano Yuriko

Nagano Yuriko

Born in 1992, Nagano graduated from Tama Art University and leads the performance unit Yousei Daizukan. She develops genre-free works including aspects of comic skits, dance, and song. Beginning her own independent performances, she performed On the New Constitution (Mamagoto) in 2015 and took part in Potential Beasts (Condors) in 2017. Her wide-ranging work includes creating art on the NHK education television channel.

Imaeda Seina

Born in 1997, Imaeda was born and raised in Tokyo and has been studying classic ballet since the age of four. He began contemporary dance after encountering it at the age of 17. Entered the Japan Women’s College of Physical Education, majoring in dance, in 2015 and makes contemporary dance her main focus.

Okazaki Ayane

Born in Saitama Prefecture in 1993, Okazaki began learning figure skating at the age of four and classic ballet at the age of six, with Arahata Kyoto as her instructor. After graduating from Saitama High School of the Arts, entered J. F. Oberlin University, studying contemporary dance with Kisanuki Kuniko. Okazaki has also performed in Kisanuki Kuniko’s works. Since her student days, she has been involved in creating and performing works and outreach activities. Formed the duo group TonTo with fellow Oberlin student Hamaguchi Yui in 2014. Currently studying with Kikuchi Naoko.

Born in Chiba Prefecture in 1993. Comic performer and dancer. Graduate of the arts college of Tamagawa University (performing arts major). Currently a comic performer with Ota Productions and the funny man in the Three-Handed Kannon group; positioned on stage left.

Kuri Akane

Born in Nagano Prefecture in 1996. Began studying classic ballet at the age of seven; later studied jazz dance as well. Encountered contemporary dance as a student at Japan Women’s College of Physical Education, where she is currently active in the dance production research group. Has performed in Pichapichacha Puchapuranranran, work choreographed by Kasai Mitsutake (2016) and Ito Kori (2017).

Kobayashi Rina

A graduate of the dance department of Japan Women’s College of Physical Education (JWCPE), Kobayashi studied jazz dance from early childhood, then began contemporary dance in college. She and fellow JWCPE student Fujishima Minori present work as Supponzaru and is preparing for an independent performance in January, 2018, as the jazz team Neutralization. She is mainly active currently under the direction of Toda Makoto and Morishita Maki.

TAKA Mizuki

TAKA Mizuki

A graduate of the master’s program in dance expressive studies at Ochanomizu University. Her involvement, at the age of nine, in Toroia’s Girl, a masterwork at La MaMa in New York, led her to experience expressive methods in dance, musicals, and videos. She began creating her own dance works in her teens and recently has been exploring the solo format.
