“Dance & Nursery!!” is a project to support and encourage dancers and artists who continue to be active while raising their children and people who do not want to give up enjoying the arts while parenting. For this year’s edition, a new video program will be streamed. Enjoy performance and workshop at home.

Dance & Nursery!!
“Dance & Nursery!!” is a project to support and encourage dancers and artists who continue to be active while raising their children and people who do not want to give up enjoying the arts while parenting. It holds programs all across the country that includes public performances for all types of viewers, as well as workshops that invite both parents and children to get to know more about the performing arts, collaborating with all types of artists such as choreographers, dancers, directors, actors, musicians, architects, designers and artists of all mediums. From 2016, it has been organizing events partnering with all types of events and venues including dance and art festivals, public halls, museums, temples and parks. In 2020, it started its first video streaming program and continues to produce a video series making use of creative ideas from various artists. Believing in the power of excellent performing arts that bring vitality, healing, and hints to modern society, it aims to create a creative educational environment and foster a diverse audience.

Shinozaki Memi
Regardless of not having any formal dance training, Shinozaki knocked on the door of <The Strange Kinoko Dance Company”> to participate in a few performances. After graduating from Nihon University, where she took western dance courses, she joined the same dance company and participated in all of their shows, both domestic and abroad, later leaving in 2017. Currently a mother of two, she still dances while running a Pilates class and holding dance workshops throughout the country. From 2016, she started collaborating with art festivals and other events participating in the “Dance & Nursery!!”, a program that supports artists with children, connecting them with audiences. In 2018, she held the workshop/performance event “Hyogen no Me Me Me,” centered around children and expression, at VACANT in Harajuku.

Aoyama Kenichi
Born in Tokyo. Currently resides in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture. Started career as a painter in 1995. His works mainly include installations and other productions fine-tuned to their locations, including art galleries, not to mention abandoned buildings and various other spaces such as theaters and public squares. His mediums span from paintings, to performances, illustrations, animation, video, and stage props. From 1997 he became a crew member of <Shibusashirazu Orchestra>, in charge of art and video.
