In the frame of Yokohama Dance Collection 2025, the French Institute of Japan hosts a Salon featuring artists at the forefront of the French scene.

This event presents the vibrancy and diversity of today’s French dance scene. Embodying this spirit is the FAIR-E Collective: at the head of the National Choreographic Centre of Rennes and Brittany (CCNRB) since 2019, it gathers choreographers and producers coming from a new generation greatly influenced by street-dancing and alternative aesthetics.

This year’s Salon hosts the choreographer and CCNRB co-director Linda Hayford, the producer Céline Gallet, the choreographer Mounia Nassangar who also collaborated with CCNRB, as well as Leïla Ka, the French choreographer participating in Dance Cross 2025. Featuring a presentation of the artists’ work and a networking session, this Salon des Artistes is an invaluable occasion of exchanging with upcoming artists, driving the global contemporary dance scene.

FAIR-E Collective / National Choreographic Centre of Rennes and Brittany (CCNRB)

Bouzid Ait Atmane, Iffra Dia, Céline Gallet, Linda Hayford, Saïdo Lehlouh, Marion Poupinet and Ousmane Sy (†2020) form the FAIR-E Collective, which became the first artist collective appointed to the head of a national cultural institution as it took over the direction of the National Choreographic Centre of Rennes and Brittany (CCNRB) in January 2019.
Thriving on and inspired by their trademark energy and open spirit, FAIR-E is currently delivering a shape-shifting, innovative artistic and cultural programme. Devised as a platform for meeting and sharing, it serves the artists, creators, hobbyists and the art practices themselves as it brings together all the audiences and puts at the forefront artists coming from the esthetical margins, from the diversity and the self-taught paths.
